Dear Leslie,
UMass Logo

Future leaders could be at any level of your organization and preparing the next generation is of critical importance. Here at the UMass Donahue Institute, we have created a program that identifies and develops emerging leaders who need the new skills necessary to lead your workforce.

This already popular program, The Future Leaders Institute (FLI), is a four-day series for emerging leaders requiring new skills. FLI is designed for entry to mid-level public sector managers (based on the state's Tier II Management Program).

Participating in the FLI program provides an excellent opportunity for professionals to:
  • develop and practice critical management, team building, and problem solving techniques
  • share experiences with professionals from a variety of public sector agencies
  • develop a network of peers
The UMass Donahue Institute is now accepting registrations for the Fall 2006 FLI series. With brand new classrooms and free parking, the series is being offered at our central Shrewsbury, MA location. All sessions are designed to be engaging and practical. Current information and materials are provided in these four essential-topic sessions on the following Wednesdays:
  • Leadership in the Public Sector, 10/18/06
  • Managing Group Dynamics, 10/25/06
  • Set Yourself Free: Tools to Manage the Most Challenging Situations, 11/1/06
  • Labor Relations, 11/8/06
Class size is limited to encourage full participation. Further registration information and session details are available on our website http://www.donahue.umassp.edu/fli, or by contacting Sue McAndrew by email or telephone (508) 856-1315.

Let us help you prepare the leaders of tomorrow. The UMass Donahue Institute is one of a select group of vendors chosen to be a pre-approved training vendor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (PRF29). We provide support services to public, private and non-profit organizations. All of our workshops and programs can be customized to meet the specific needs of your organization. Watch for future newsletters announcing additional one-day training sessions that build upon the core FLI program.

Sincerely,
